That means a secure campus free of drugs and bullying, instructional materials appropriate to a child’s age, and a district that communicates with families rather than around them — especially when a student is struggling.

That starts with a stronger foundation in reading, writing, and math — the skills every path depends on, whether a student is headed to college, a trade, the military, or a business of their own. Measure honestly, fund what works, and keep adult politics out of the classroom.

PARENTS BELONG IN THE ROOM

Every parent should feel confident that their school respects their right to a say in their child’s education — regardless of political leanings or ideology.

Curriculum a parent can actually read. Notification that comes before the fact, not after. And trustees who want to hear from the whole community — including the people who disagree with them. A handful of regular voices shouldn’t speak for a district this size.

My years managing large budgets and high-performing teams equipped me to review spending intelligently — finding stronger results while minimizing expense. Every dollar spent on avoidable conflict is a dollar that never reaches a teacher, a textbook, or a campus repair.
